Foshan New City (Foshan Xin Cheng)
In the lotus field near Shi Ji Lian Sports Stadium, Foshan, a sea of pink muhly grass blooms. The field looks like a sea of pink clouds, which is so intoxicating that it makes you feel you had reached a fairy land.
With the wind blowing, the grass welcomes autumn with slight swings. Such lovely moments attract many citizens to come and watch.

More than 40 mu of sunflowers bloom in the sun in Futian Village, Yundonghai.
For sunflower lovers, this sunflower field is worth your time. Looking around, golden sunflowers spread all over the ground. The bright colour makes a prefect contrast of the blue sky and white clouds. Come enjoy!

Winter is approaching but do you think the flowers are off work? Not in Foshan!
In Lishui, Nanhai,it’s still working hours for a sea of flowers.
This vast sea of flowers is located in Gangmei Village of Lishuizhou Village. Marigolds, cosmos, zinnias weave a soft floral blanket. With the gentle wind blowing, the fragrance of flowers fills the air and the chrysanthemums gently swing as if they were dancing with sunlight.
There are also small paths for people to walk closer and take photos.

South Peach Blossom Garden
South peach blossom garden (nan guo tao yuan in Chinese) has always been home to peach blossom in the hearts of Foshan people. The flowers cover an area of 3000 mu. Around Spring Festival every year, this pink forest bring delightful gentleness to Foshan, exuding a charming fragrance. If there was a peach blossom fairy story, she would be living here.
Peach blossom is always thought to be pink, but in the garden white and rose red ones can also be seen. Such a beautiful peach forest is also a paradise for birds and bees. The bees are busy collecting nectar. without noticing anyone staring at them. They seem to be drunk in the peach blossom, flying slowly and uninterested in people. There’s a lake near the flowers too.

Xianlu Island looks like a paradise with an ocean of verbena. Walking into the field is like walking into a purple oil painting.
In Xianlu Island, you can see other flowers during different time of the year, for example sunflowers, salvia, Gesang flowers, chrysanthemums, rapeseeds and so on. It is also a good place for a walk, or a bicycle ride along the green way around the island, which will be a small getaway from the busy work life.

When speaking of lotus, the first place that goes to Foshan citizen’s mind must be Sanshui Lotus World. Just a few months ago, another double-flower lotus was found in the greenhouse in the research and development center of Sanshui Lotus World.

Double-flower lotus is a variation of lotus. One stalk has two flowers. Each flower has a pedicle, and the stalk is connected together on the flower stem. The chance of a double-flower lotus growing is only one in 100,000, and it can only last less than a week from bud to withering.
Before that, the beautiful double-flower lotus has appeared in Sanshui Lotus World for a couple of times.
Because of its shape and look, in ancient literary works, double-flower lotus is known as the symbol of love, implying the love and happiness of husband and wife, and symbolizing the lingering love between men and women, or the strong brotherhood or sisterhood between siblings. In folklore it is seen as a sign of luck. Since ancient times, people have regarded double-flower lotus as a festive sign, and the embodiment of kindness and beauty. When you see it, you are believed to be blessed with a hundred years of harmony and eternal union.
Although the flower phase of double-flower lotus is quite short, good things are worth more effort. If you visit more often, you may get to see one blooming. Go check your luck!
Hecheng, Gaoming district, means a city of lotus in Chinese. Did you know how it got its name?
In September 1984, the new town of Gaoming was being built. That year, in the surrounding sludge, new lotuses blossomed, raising from the sludge unsoiled, and blooming to the full, hence the name Hecheng (Lotus City). Every year after the beginning of summer, it is the season when the lotus blossoms. In today's Lotus City, more than 3000 mu of lotus ponds are distributed in urban areas and villages. Emerald green lotus leaves, delicate red ornamental lotus, and beautiful water lilies, they form a color palette of nature.

Two old banyan trees and quaint old houses and a lotus pond of 165 mu interweave a three-dimensional and poetic landscape and pastoral picture in Lunyong Village. The lotus pond in Lunyong Village is mainly planted with economic lotus. Under the breeze, the white lotus flowers catch people’s attention among the lotus leaves in the pond rolling like green waves to shore.
As early as the Shaoxing period of the Southern Song Dynasty (1131-1162), the ancestors of Lunyong lived here. The rebuilt Guandi Temple, Wenchang Temple that tel history of Lunyong Villagel are just 100 meters away to the pond.

The broad lotus pond is like a bright and clear mirror, reflecting the green trees and houses on the bank. An old bridge divides the lotus pond in two. Standing on the stone steps of the bridge and looking around, a panoramic view of the 60-mu lotus pond can be seen.
The pond full of lotus, coupled with the dynamic tourist ecological park makes a nice combination of leisure.

The lotus pond in Zhendijiang Village is a world of lotus blossoms. Behind the lotus pond, the Chou's Ancestral Hall records the historical memory of the ancestors in Zhendijiang Village, and the strong artistic style of ancient architecture comes to your face. The simple and elegant village houses complement each other with the huge lotus pond, forming an elegant rural landscape.

In Shuangyong Village in summer, nearly 500 mu of water lilies vie for beauty. The flowers and leaves of water lily float on the water surface. The leaves are oval, bright and glossy. The flowers of water lily are smaller than those of lotus, and the petals are narrow and long. In the morning light, the water lily is like a spotless beauty lying on her back above the blue waves. The purple water lily pond, the surrounding rice fields, and the fruits and vegetables of the four seasons merge into a colorful picture of the original countryside.
